Independent Since 1999

MANGLED MEDIA, INC.

The independent record label and creative media company built for electropunk, industrial, alternative, synthpunk, cyberpunk, and underground art that refuses to behave.

We develop artists, release music, build visual worlds, preserve underground history, and amplify counter-culture signals from the edge.

The Limits Are Where It Gets Interesting

Mangled Media was founded in 1999 to support artists who didn’t fit cleanly anywhere else.

For more than two decades, we’ve worked across independent music production, artist development, visual identity, video, remix culture, underground archives, and alternative media. The sound is loud. The visuals are sharp. The work is not built for the middle.

This is the home of Retard-O-Bot, Peter Pepper, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Reverend John Wheeler, RobbieXeff, and other projects that live somewhere between music, noise, image, memory, and beautiful malfunction.

Artists & Creators

Retard-O-Bot

Post-industrial electropunk from Tampa, Florida. Formed in 1999. Cardboard robot suits, synth damage, punk screams, rapid drums, and a catalog that helped define the 2000s underground electropunk scene.

Peter Pepper

Singer, songwriter, producer, visual creator, and frontman of Retard-O-Bot. A pioneer of the electropunk underground with new solo work, videos, digital shorts, and genre-bending releases from the Florida edge.

Screaming Mechanical Brain

Formerly Screaming Monkey Boner. Minneapolis industrial math-metal, synthpunk, and electronic chaos. Heavy, strange, theatrical, and still too weird to file correctly.

Reverend John Wheeler

Producer, remixer, programmer, songwriter, and frontman of Screaming Mechanical Brain. Hard-hitting electronic music, industrial remixes, solo work, and sonic architecture from the heavy underground.

RobbieXeff

Visual artist, photographer, designer, and music historian. Poster art, album covers, scene archives, photography, and underground visual work tied to Retard-O-Bot, Foxy Shazam, and alternative music culture.

New Releases

The latest releases from Mangled Media.

Peter Pepper — “We’re from Florida (Florida Man)”

The feel-good hit of the summer, if your summer smells like sunscreen, swamp water, and questionable decisions.

Retard-O-Bot — “Monday Night Electropunk”

A resurrected electropunk transmission from the Retard-O-Bot universe. Loud, weird, fast, and built like it was found under a blown speaker in 2005.

Retard-O-Bot — “Story Arc”

The return signal. A high-energy blast of synthpunk, punk sneer, and self-aware chaos from one of the underground’s most unruly machines.

Retard-O-Bot — Lost Sessions

Recovered tracks, unfinished transmissions, and archival noise from the vault.

Official Merch From Mangled Media Universe

Shirts, prints, artifacts, and wearable evidence from the outer edge of electropunk, industrial, alternative, and underground culture.

Merch for the tuned-in, the beautifully malfunctioning, and anyone who prefers their clothing with a signal buried inside it.

The Archive

Posters. Flyers. Photos. Album art. Lost media. Robot suits. Stage damage. Scene history.

The Mangled Media archive collects the visual debris of more than two decades of underground music culture, actual proof that it happened.

Built for the Edges

We are built for the artists with voltage.
For projects with their own weather.
For work that is too strange to ignore and too alive to flatten.

Mangled Media believes underground art should not bend itself into something safer. It should make the room adjust.
